Vault the Drink Part II

I noticed a lot of people have being visiting my blog looking for information on this drink Vault, which I wrote about a couple of weeks back. Why all the sudden interest on this drink? So, I dig deeper (not that deep, I don't have all the time in the world) to try to find more information about this drink.

According to a post on Wikipedia, it is a carbonated drink put out by Coke in June of 2005. The drink is very citrus based, and uses slogan such as "Drinks Like a Soda, Kick Like An Energy Drink." There is caffeine in the drink, which I talked about in my previous post when I drank it, and suppose to have the following amount:

47 mg of caffeine per 8 oz. serving, thus, 70.5 mg per 12 oz. can, and 117.5 mg per 20 oz.

There is also the Vault Zero drink, which is the diet version of Vault. They have pretty weird commercials (I thought they are weird, but you can decide that for yourself at their website http://www.drinkvault.com/index.jsp), and some commercials I thought is a little offensive and disturbing. In addition, Vault is similar in many ways to the drink Surge put out by Coke a while back and canceled in 2002. Apparently, there are websites dedicated of brining the drink Surge back and now, are already dedicating some space on their site about saving Vault even though it was just introduced by Coke last year, since they are afraid Vault will face similar fate as Surge (never tried it). Soda activism they call it. Funny, some people seem to have too much time on their hand (and I seem to be having too much time on my hand, writing and actually reading through those sites). Check out some of those websites if you want (http://www.vaultkicks.org/) and (http://www.savesurge.org/).

Oh, and btw, did you know there is a website dedicated to reviewing carbonated drinks and juices and stuff like that?? I don't either, until now . . . . . http://www.bevnet.com/. Pretty amazing stuff, I guess the internet does have everything. Gee, I guess I am just not a connoisseur in carbonated drinks and juices and stuff like that and I am missing out on all the finer nuances of enjoying those drinks.
