Sony Camera

My Sony Camera broke while I am on my vacation in Europe. I don't understand why Sony cameras, altough looks good and are in general pretty good, often breaks down in the most inappropriate time. The first time it broke was during my sister's law school graduation ceremony, and that caused me to be unable to take many pictures during that important moment in her life. Then, the camera broke again while I am in my trip in Europe with some friends, a trip that I had been planning for 3 months, a trip that invovles us driving through Europe, but then, the camera broke . . . . . Why Sony, why?? Can you not be more reliable?
